Detectives from the Drug and Organised Crime Squad arrested a 42-year-old male on Thursday 12 May for drug related offences.

Detective Sergeant Justin Bentley said that Police, acting on information, attended a carpark in the Palmerston CBD.

“As Police approached the male allegedly tipped the drugs out in an attempt to destroy evidence.”

A crime scene examiner attended and recovered the tipped out drugs.

Detectives allegedly located further drugs and a large quantity of cash strewn across the front seat of the vehicle.

The male has been charged with:

  • Possessing a traffickable quantity of a schedule one drug (methamphetamine) in a public place. 
  • Destroy Evidence.

He will face court at a later date.
