Northern Territory Police have charged a 35-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman following a methamphetamine seizure in Jingili early Thursday morning, 6 October.
Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Bland said police were searching for a vehicle when it was detected speeding on Rothdale Road, Jingili about 12.35am.
“The Toyota Camry was subject to a roadside search, which allegedly uncovered 15 grams of methamphetamine, $7,485 cash, a diary containing information on the sale of illicit substances, paraphernalia and a taser,” he said.
The vehicle was seized and the pair arrested.
The man was charged with:
- Supply less than Commercial Quantity Schedule 1 dangerous drug
- Possess Trafficable Quantity Schedule 1 Dangerous Drug
- Possess Prohibited Weapon
- Exceed Speed Limit – 101km/h in 60km/h zone
- Possess Tainted Property
The woman was charged with:
- Supply less than Commercial Quantity schedule 1 Dangerous Drug
- Possess less than Trafficable Quantity schedule 1 Dangerous Drug
They have been remanded to appear in Darwin Local Court today.
