Northern Territory Police have charged a 26-year-old male after he allegedly assaulted a police officer in Jabiru.
Acting Commander of Crime Travis Wurst said the male was charged overnight with:
- Assault police
- Resist Police in execution of duty
- Recklessly endanger life
- Armed with an offensive weapon
- Drive unlicensed / unregistered vehicle
- Low range drink driving
The man was remanded in custody to appear in the Darwin Local Court on 8 November.
A/Commander Wurst said detectives continue to investigate the incident and are calling on any members of the public who observed a green Mitsubishi Pajero or a silver Ford Territory driving around the Jabiru township on Monday, 24 October, to please contact police on 131 444 or call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
