Serious Crime Detectives have charged a 19-year-old male with aggravated assault following injury caused to an 11-year-old child.

Detective Senior Sergeant Chris Board said the incident occurred in Moulden in the early afternoon of Wednesday 20 January.

“He has been charged with aggravated assault to a child, using a weapon and causing harm.”

The man will appear in the Darwin Magistrates Court today.
