Northern Territory Police are calling for witnesses in relation to an alleged sexual assault in Katherine on the morning of Saturday, 24 December.
Senior Sergeant Mark Malogorski from the Northern Investigations Section said just after midnight, an 18-year-old woman was walking along O’Shea Terrace, when she was assaulted by an unknown offender or offenders, which resulted in her shoes and wallet being stolen.
“Later that morning, between 1.00am and 3.00am, the woman was walking in the vicinity of Katherine High School when she was approached by two unknown male offenders, pushed to the ground, and sexually assaulted.
The first male is described as being of indigenous appearance, 180cm tall, with an athletic build. He was wearing black jeans/pants, a black jumper with a pocket on the front, black slip on shoes, and a blue/green cap with a lighter blue “wave” logo on the front.
The second male is described as being of indigenous appearance, with short blonde/orange hair. He was wearing black pants and black shoes.
