Detectives from the Southern Investigations Division are calling for public assistance following a serious assault on Larapinta Drive on the afternoon of Friday, 21 October.

Detective Senior Constable First Class Damien Barbe said a 30-year-old female sustained critical injuries as a result.

“The female was travelling westbound with her male partner in a dark grey or black hatch back vehicle when they stopped and exited the car near the Larapinta Primary School around 3.45pm.

“A verbal argument has turned violent resulting in the male assaulting the female with a knife.

“The male has then departed in the hatchback leaving the female behind.

“Police are asking anyone who witnessed the altercation or saw a dark coloured hatchback parked on Larapinta Drive to please contact them on 131 444 or call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
