Call for Witnesses - Assault - Leanyer -Update

Northern Territory Police have released an image of the alleged offender in relation to an assault on Vanderlin Drive, Leanyer in the early hours of Tuesday 10 May.

Casuarina Station Officer-in-Charge, Acting Senior Sergeant Tanya Mace said a 53-year-old woman was walking along the footpath outside the Hibiscus Shopping Centre shortly before 6:00am when the alleged assault took place.

“The offender is described as being of Indigenous appearance, aged in his 20s, about 175cm tall with medium length curly hair and a bandage on his left arm. He was wearing a black T-Shirt with a white collar, and black shorts with white trim.

“Further information given to Police suggests the male may have changed his black T-shirt or covered it with a blue and white flannelette shirt.”
