Northern Territory Police are calling for witnesses following an aggravated assault in Stuart Park earlier today.

Detective Sergeant Glenn Leafe from the Serious Crime Squad said the incident occurred around 7:00am near the corner of Westralia Street and Coronation Drive.

“It is believed a 30-year-old man who was seen acting erratically, approached a 29-year-old man before assaulting him in a seemingly unprovoked attack.

“Police and St John Ambulance attended. The victim was taken to Royal Darwin Hospital where he is being assessed. The offender was arrested at the scene.”
