Northern Territory Police are calling for information in relation to a suspicious fire in Litchfield Court, Nightcliff yesterday.

Constable First Class Patricia Whiting from the Serious Crime Squad said fire crews were called after a visitor spotted smoke coming from the rear of the unit about 2pm yesterday.

“The neighbours were then able to extinguish the fire before crews arrived,” she said.

“Nobody was home at the time of the blaze, and there were no injuries.”

Serious Crime Detectives request anyone who witnessed the fire or saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area between 11:00am and 2:00pm to please contact Police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
