Northern Territory Police are calling for information in relation to a structure fire in Pinelands overnight.

Detective Senior Sergeant Chris Board from the Serious Crime Squad said detectives are reviewing CCTV footage from surrounding businesses and had identified a vehicle of interest. 

“Detectives would like to speak to the occupants of a white single cab utility towing a duel axle trailer seen driving along McKinnon Road about 6:30pm,” he said.

“Initial investigations indicate that a firework was lit from the road which ignited a garden bed at the front of the business.”

A passer-by reported the fire to emergency services about 8:20pm.

Two businesses located within the structure have been destroyed along with a number of vehicles.
