Northern Territory Police are calling for information on the whereabouts of Joshua Robert Davis.

Davis, 23, was allegedly involved in a pursuit with Police around Katherine driving an allegedly stolen black Ford sedan.

The pursuit was called off and the car later found abandoned on the side of the Stuart Hwy, 80km south of the town. His passenger was apprehended at the scene, but Davis had already fled into bushland.

Davis has olive skin and was last seen wearing a black shirt and dark shorts.

Police request anyone who sees Davis or is flagged down to not approach him and contact Police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
