Detectives from the Serious Crime Squad are investigating a suspicious fire that occurred yesterday in Casuarina.

Constable First Class Elle Bennett said fire crews were alerted to a fire in the female public toilets in Casuarina Square shopping complex just after 6:00pm.

As a result of the fire there is minor damage to the area.

CCTV footage is currently being reviewed as part of the investigation.
