A 30-year-old male will face the Katherine Local Court today charged with Assault Police and Assault a Worker following an incident on Friday 20 May.

Superintendent Lauren Hill said an ambulance was called after the man was found unconscious inside the Oasis Shopping Centre.

“A female Police Officer has assisted the man into the ambulance where he has woken and assaulted both the Police Officer and a St John Paramedic.”

The man was arrested, checked at the hospital and remanded in custody to appear today.
