Northern Territory Police have arrested a 33-year-old man following an incident at Darwin Magistrates Court earlier today.

It is alleged the man attended court and made unspecified threats towards staff.

NT Police were notified and the man was arrested without incident a short time later in the vicinity of the court house.

The circumstances surrounding the alleged threats are the subject of an ongoing investigation.
