Detectives from Strike Force Vega charged a 14-year-old male yesterday following a series of unlawful entries in Alice Springs dating back to July 2014.
Detective Senior Sergeant Peter Malley said Police allege the youth unlawfully entered several private residences and vehicles, allegedly stealing more than $3000 worth of property.
“We undertook a cold case review of six outstanding property-related incidents and the offender was subsequently identified in relation to these outstanding crimes.
“He was arrested on Monday 14 December and conveyed to the Alice Springs Watch House.”
He was charged with:
- Unlawful entry x 6
- Stealing x 6
He is bailed to appear in Alice Springs Youth Court on 11January 2016.
“This is another proactive result for Strike Force Vega and a reminder to all offenders that we will catch up with you eventually,” said Detective Senior Sergeant Malley.
