Strike Force Trident Detectives have charged a 13-year-old male following a series of property offences in the Darwin area.

Senior Sergeant Mark Stringer said the youth was apprehended at a property in Moulden yesterday morning.

“Police will allege this youth offender was involved in multiple unlawful entries dating back to January 2015, including the theft of a Mazda 121 which was later recovered in Karama on 28 May.

“Police will also alleged the youth was involved in an unlawful entry and theft of a Mazda 3 valued at $20,000 from a property in Brinkin on 29 May 2015.”

He was charged with:

• Unlawful entry – dwelling
• Unlawful entry – building
• Unlawful use of a motor vehicle (x2)
• Stealing (x2)

He was refused bail and will appear in Youth Justice Court today.
