Woman Charged – Recklessly Endangering Serious Harm – Berrimah

A 29-year-old woman has been charged in relation to an aggravated assault on a man in Berrimah overnight.

Detective Senior Sergeant Karl Day from the Serious Crime Squad said the woman allegedly stabbed a 70-year-old man – believed to be her partner – after an altercation just before midnight Sunday night in his caravan in Berrimah.

“When police arrived, they found the man nursing a stab wound to his upper body.”

The man was taken to Royal Darwin Hospital, where he underwent surgery for his injuries.

The woman was arrested and charged with:

  • Unlawfully cause serious harm

She was remanded in custody to appear in Darwin Magistrates Court today.
