Katherine Police continue to search for missing man Andrew Cooper, who was last seen at a residence in Katherine’s east side about 2.00am on 5 February 2015.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Ian Kennon from the Northern Investigations Section said Police were alerted to the disappearance of Mr Cooper at 8.30am on Thursday 5 February.

“Local Police as well as officers from the Darwin Metropolitan Command and Missing Persons Unit have been unable to locate Mr Cooper following numerous enquiries. Katherine Police have conducted extensive searches by foot, in vehicles and a helicopter utilising air observers. Unfortunately the whereabouts of Mr Cooper remains unknown at this point in time.

“Mr Cooper is a 46-year-old male of Aboriginal appearance and is described as being approximately 180cm tall and of a medium build. Mr Cooper has curly black / grey hair and a ‘goatee’ beard. He was last seen wearing a pair of blue denim shorts with no shirt and was possibly carrying a yellow Dolphin brand torch. Mr Cooper was also wearing a metal brace on his left arm which was fitted between his left wrist and elbow.”
