Police advise that the 19-year-old female involved in yesterday’s car crash in Livingstone has died.

Sergeant Mark Casey from the Major Crash Investigation Unit said the two cars involved collided on the Stuart Highway near the Cox Peninsula Road intersection just before 6am.

 “Police, Fire and Rescue and St John Ambulance members attended the scene. 

“The 19-year-old was extracted from her vehicle and conveyed to Royal Darwin Hospital; however she has now passed away. 

“Investigations will continue to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the crash.” 

The NT road toll is now three, equivalent to the same time last year.
