Unlawful Entry and Stealing - Alice Springs

Detectives from Strike Force Vega have charged a 17-year-old male following two separate unlawful entries and stealing incidents in Alice Springs earlier this year.

Acting Superintendent Virginia Read said as well as the two unlawful entries from April and October, the offender also had an outstanding warrant.

“It is alleged that on 9 April the male broke into a house in and stole assorted items including tools.

“Then on 4 October, the male allegedly entered another house in Gillen and stole a handbag.”

The 17-year-old has been charged with:

  • Unlawful entry x 2
  • Stealing x 2
  • Interfere with vehicle
  • Property damage

He will appear in the Alice Springs court today.

“Northern Territory Police are committed to reducing property crime and have seen a decrease in unlawful entries in Alice Springs over the past three years,” Acting Superintendent Virginia Read said.
