Police

Alice Springs Police are seeking public assistance in relation to a number of unlawful entries in The Gap over the weekend.

Detective Sergeant Trent Abbott said Police received four reports of break-ins on Achilpa Street, Kempe Street, Arunga Street and Clara Court on Sunday.

“Items reported stolen include alcohol and money. Detectives from Strike Force Vega are investigating and enquires are continuing.

“Police would like to remind people when it comes to your home, vehicle and property that it is important to be vigilant and ensures all doors and windows are locked.

“Valuables and belongings should be kept out of sight from the temptation of thieves and stored in a safe place.”

Police urge anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in The Gap area over the weekend to contact Police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
