Two Youths Charged with Property Offences - Palmerston

Two male youths aged 12 and 16 have been charged following an alleged unlawful entry and several stealing incidents in Palmerston.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Bland said Police allege the two youths unlawfully entered a residence in Johnston on Saturday and stole an iPad, iPhone, wallets and jewellery.

“Police alleged the youths used the stolen credit cards to buy goods at a service station in Durack and a supermarket in Palmerston CBD.

“Detectives from Strike Force Trident arrested the pair in Palmerston yesterday and recovered some of the stolen jewellery.”

They were charged with:

Stealing (x3)

Aggravated unlawful entry

Trespass

The 16 year-old was remanded in custody to appear in Darwin Youth Justice Court tomorrow.

The 12 year-old will appear in the Youth Justice Court on 9 April 2015.
