Trident Arrest – Stealing – Darwin

Northern Territory Police have arrested two males and a female following the theft of a motor vehicle.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Stringer from Strike Force Trident said it is alleged that a 25-year-old female stole a Nissan Navara from a property in Alawa on Saturday night.

“It is alleged she then picked up two men aged 23 and 29, who then drove the vehicle into Darwin CBD.

“The vehicle was sighted by Police and pulled over. The driver was subjected to a breath test where he blew a mid-range reading.

“All three offenders were arrested and conveyed to Darwin Watch House.”

The female offender was charged with stealing, unlawful use of a mote vehicle and driving whilst unlicensed.

The 23-year-old male was charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle, driving whilst unlicensed, and driving whilst under the influence of alcohol.

The 29-year-old male was charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

 They will appear in Darwin Magistrates Court on 2 June.
