NT Police have arrested a third youth involved in the theft of a vehicle in Alice Springs over the weekend.
“Three female offenders allegedly stole a brand new Holden Colorado that was parked at a hotel on Barrett Drive about 9:30 on Friday night. Two offenders allegedly ran away at this point, and the third was able to restart the vehicle, which was later abandoned in Charles Creek.
“Two of the youths aged 16 and 14, were located on Saturday night in the Alice Springs CBD and arrested.
“The third female, aged 15, was arrested in the early hours on Tuesday 3 November by members of Strike Force Vega,” Detective Superintendent Travis Wurst said.
The 15-year-old female was arrested and charged with:
- Aggravated unlawful use of a Motor Vehicle
- Trespass x 2
- Stealing
- Damage Property x 2
- Fail to stop after crash
She is due to appear in the Alice Springs Youth Justice Court today.
