Stolen Property Recovered - Howard Springs

Strike Force Trident Detectives have charged a male and female and recovered a mass of stolen property following a search warrant at a Howard Springs residence yesterday.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Stringer said Police will allege the property was stolen from a number of residences and building sites around the Palmerston area.

“This is a significant seizure with the property estimated to be worth in the vicinity of $165,000.”

A 33-year-old male has been charged with:

  • Unlawful Entry of a Building
  • Damage Property
  • Unlawfully Possess Property
  • Stealing
  • Aggravated Unlawful Use of Motor Vehicle
  • Trespass
  • Stealing

A 38-year-old female has been charged with:

  • Obtain Benefit by Deception
  • Unlawful Entry of a Building
  • Stealing x 4
  • Damage Property
  • Aggravated Unlawful Use of Motor Vehicle
  • Unlawfully Possess Property  x 3
  • Trespass

They will both appear in Darwin Magistrates Court tomorrow.

“Enquiries are currently being made to identify the rightful owners of the property,” said Detective Senior Sergeant Stringer.
