Detectives from the Southern Investigation Division are investigating the theft of several firearms from a business in Alice Springs last night.

Detective Senior Sergeant Peter Malley said Police received a report a business on Smith Street was unlawfully entered sometime between 10:30pm yesterday and 7am today.

“Three firearms were stolen including two bolt action rifles and a 12 gauge shot gun.

“Police urge anyone who may have any information in relation to this incident or anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in this area last night to contact Police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
