Detectives from the Serious Crime Squad have charged a 56-year-old woman in relation to an alleged stealing incident from a licensed premises in Darwin CBD.

Detective Senior Sergeant Karl Day said Police allege the woman, who was an employee, stole hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash revenue from the Mitchell Street establishment between January and June 2015.

“Detectives arrested the woman on Friday and charged her with one count of stealing.

“She will appear in Darwin Magistrates Court on the 20 August."
