Detectives from the Sex Crimes Unit have charged a 15-year-old male in relation to the alleged sexual assault of a 29-year-old woman in Fannie Bay on Monday evening.
The male was arrested in the East Point Recreation Reserve this morning and this evening was charged with:
- 1 x act of gross indecency
- 1 x aggravated robbery
He has been remanded in custody and will appear in Darwin Youth Justice Court on Friday.
“Northern Territory Police would like to thank those members of the public and local business who provided information in relation to this investigation, assistance from the public is crucial and in this case proved to be the missing piece of the puzzle,” Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Janelle Tonkin said.
