Detectives from the Serious Crime Squad have charged a 20-year-old man following a robbery in Darwin City this morning.

Detective Sergeant Matt Akers said Police allege a 20-year-old man entered a business on Smith Street at around 10:30am and threatened the staff with a knife.

“He fled the scene with a small amount of money but was arrested a short time later.

“He was charged with armed robbery.”

He was remanded in custody to appear in Darwin Magistrates Court on Monday 13 April.
