Public Assistance Sought - Traffic Incident

Police

Darwin Traffic Operations Section is requesting public assistance to identify a vehicle and driver who narrowly missed a Police Officer on Tiger Brennan Drive.

Sergeant Craig Dunlop said the Officer was issuing a speeding fine at the time of the incident.

“At about 12.25pm on Wednesday 29 April the Officer was standing on the side of the road next to a vehicle that had been stopped for speeding.

“While issuing an infringement notice a white Toyota Avalon, possibly with Queensland registration, has merged over the fog line and just missed the parked vehicle and our Officer.

“Police are very keen to speak to this driver.  Anyone who has information, who may have witnessed this incident or who recognises the vehicle is asked to please contact Police on 131 444 or call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
