Public Assistance Sought – Theft – Rapid Creek

Serious Crime Detectives are investigating the theft of $30,000 in cash from a vehicle at Rapid Creek Business Village on 27 July 2015.

“At approximately 10:45pm a business owner was loading a bag containing the business takings into his vehicle,” Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Matt Akers said. “He moved away from the car briefly, and on returning the bag was missing.

“The stolen cash was in Australian currency.  Amongst other items contained in the bag were an Apple iPhone 5C in a hard black cover, EFTPOS receipts from the business and a small blood pressure monitoring machine. The device is approximately 13cm x 12cm, has four buttons and is white and silver in colour with a connecting cord and grey strap.

“A light blue case with a broken zip containing a Japanese passport was also stolen.”
