Northern Territory Police are seeking public assistance to apprehend a male who broke into a residence and assaulted an occupant in Moulden early this morning.

Police received a report from a 35-year-old woman that at approximately 5:20am, an unknown male had entered her house in Strawbridge Crescent while she was sleeping and had attempted to tie her up.

“The woman’s four-year-old son woke up and startled the offender, who fled the scene,” said Senior Sergeant Matt Akers.

“A crime scene has been established at the property. Police are asking for anyone who may have been in the area and noticed any unusual activity to please contact us on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
