Northern Territory Police will accompany NO MORE founder Charlie King and AFLNT to the community of Ramingining to launch the No More campaign locally on Monday 2 November.

Community Engagement Police Officer Constable Paul Keightley said it has been a collaborative effort between NT Police, East Arnhem Shire Council, AFLNT, Ramingining School and other providers to bring Charlie King and the NO MORE campaign to Ramingining.

“There is no place for domestic violence in the Northern Territory and having Charlie here to launch NO MORE and reinforce key messages about respectful relationships is wonderful and contributes to success in the community.

“Improved education and having these important conversations is vital to make this change. It is essential for everyone in the community to work together to stop domestic and family violence and by supporting programs such as NO MORE and White Ribbon in a collaborative manner, we can all help to make our communities safer,” Constable Keightley said.

AFLNT Indigenous Programs Manager Ian Brown said, “AFLNT wholly supports the NO MORE campaign. We are proud to be able work with community teams to raise awareness about issues in remote communities such as Ramingining and assist in developing strong outcomes.”
