OMCG Associate Charged – Methamphetamine Seized – Darwin

Members from the Gangs Task Force have charged a 31-year-old Outlaw Motorcycle Gang Associate and seized a quantity of methamphetamine that was concealed on his person.

Police said the man was arrested on his arrival into Darwin Airport from a Melbourne flight at 11:00am on Tuesday.

“He was subjected to a search by officers and subsequently 14 grams of methamphetamine was located down his underwear.

“He was charged with possession and supply of a traffickable quantity of methamphetamine and was remanded in custody to appear in Darwin Magistrates Court on 20 January 2016.

“If sold on the streets of Darwin this seizure could fetch in the vicinity of $15,000 to $20,000.

“The Northern Territory Police Gangs Task Force will continue to target those criminal organisations who seek to profit through the illicit business of trafficking and supplying these dangerous drugs in our community.”
