Northern Territory Police are delighted to advise that missing 57-year-old Dennise Roberston has been located safe and well.

“Ms Roberston was spotted by the helicopter search team 3.6km south east of the community just after 3:00pm today,” Remote Sergeant Dennis Hogan said.

“She was waving a bright pink shirt to get their attention.”

The helicopter transferred her back to the community, where she had a health check by local clinic staff.

“Other than being dehydrated, she is in good health.”

The community rallied to help in the search, which included two pilots from HeliMuster, seven NTES volunteers and police from Lajamanu, Kalkarindji and the Territory Response Group.

“The local ALPA store provided lunch and dinner for the members of the search party, which was very much appreciated,” Sergeant Hogan said.

“This was such a great result for everyone involved, and a great demonstration of a community coming together to help.”
