Police have charged a 42-year-old man with drug offences following a traffic apprehension in Alice Springs yesterday.
Detective Acting Sergeant Shawn Hohn said Police apprehended the vehicle on Milner Road at around 11:25am and located 56 grams of methamphetamine and $5985 in cash.
“Police also executed a search warrant at the male’s residence and located a further one gram of methamphetamine and a quantity of fireworks.”
He was charged with:
Possess a commercial quantity of methamphetamine
Supply a commercial quantity of methamphetamine
Possess methamphetamine
Possess tainted property
Possess fireworks
Administer drug to self
He will appear in Alice Springs Magistrates Court at a later date.
