Methamphetamine Arrests - Darwin

Detectives from the Drug and Organised Crime Squad have charged two people with drug offences following a search warrant at a residence in Wagaman.

Detective Superintendent Tony Fuller said the pair were arrested during the search at around 6pm last night.

“Detectives seized 18.2 grams of methamphetamine and a small amount of cannabis.

“Also seized were a set of ‘knuckle dusters and several ice pipes.

Detective Superintendent Fuller said Police will allege the pair was supplying methamphetamine from the residence with items seized consistent with materials used in the sale of illicit drugs.

A 42-year-old male and a 43-year-old female were charged with the Possession and Supply of a trafficable quantity of methamphetamine, possess cannabis and possess a prohibited weapon.

The male will appear in the Darwin Magistrates Court today.  The female was bailed to appear at a later date.
