Southern Investigation Detectives have charged a 26-year-old man following the seizure of trafficable quantity of drugs in Alice Springs.
Detective Superintendent Brent Warren said members from the Tactical Investigations Squad executed a search warrant at a residence in Larapinta yesterday.
“Police allegedly located and seized 15.5grams of methamphetamine, seven MDMA tablets, unsecure ammunition and drug paraphernalia.”
The 26-year-old man was arrested and charged with:
Possess methamphetamine – trafficable quantity
Possess schedule 2 drug – trafficable quantity
Possess thing to administer a dangerous drug
Possess ammunition without a permit/licence
Fail to meet storage requirements
Disorderly behaviour in a Police Station
Breach of bail
He will appear in Alice Springs Magistrates Court today.
