Members from the tri-service Darwin management team will be on hand to meet with the community at tomorrow’s Mindil Beach Market.

“Following on from the success of the community engagement exercise in Palmerston recently, we’re bringing together members from the NT Police, NT Fire and Rescue Service, Neighbourhood Watch and NT Emergency Services to the Mindil Market,” Assistant Commissioner Lance Godwin said.

“We’re very keen to speak with members of the community about any law and order or safety issues that may concern them, or even just to say hello.

“Come along and meet the mounted unit and take a selfie with the Police horses or NTES mascot Paddy Platypus.

“We’ll also be offering cyclone preparedness advice ahead of the Wet season,” said Assistant Commissioner Godwin.

The PFES stand will be located between the Army Band and the fireworks from 5pm.
