Man Charged - Stolen Property - Howard Springs

Strike Force Trident Detectives have charged a third man in relation to the recovery of a large quantity of alleged stolen property.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Stringer said the 59-year-old male was arrested at his property in Howard Springs on Friday afternoon, after a search warrant conducted at this premises on 29 July 2015 uncovered a large quantity of alleged stolen property.

“Further alleged stolen property was also recovered on Friday, including a significant amount of camping equipment.

“This is a significant seizure for Northern Territory Police, who have seen a reduction in unlawful entries for the month of July,” said Senior Sergeant Stringer.

He was charged with:

  • Receiving stolen property
  • Unlawfully possess property

He will appear in Darwin Magistrates Court on 7 September 2015.
