Alyangula Police have charged a 24-year-old male in relation to an indecent assault which occurred in Alyangula on Sunday evening.

Senior Sergeant Alex Brennan said Police put out a call for assistance on Monday and as a result received many calls from the public in relation to this incident, one of which directly resulted in the arrest of the male.

“Police would like to thank all who have supplied information in relation to this matter, their assistance is greatly appreciated.”

The man has been charged with indecent assault.

He was remanded in custody and will appear in Darwin Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday 22 April.
