Northern Territory Police have charged two people for their involvement in the hit and run of a 25-year-old woman in Alice Springs on 21 October 2015.
Detective Senior Sergeant Janelle Tonkin from the Major Crash Investigation Unit said that a 52-year-old man and 51-year-old woman from Alice Springs have been charged today.
The 52-year-old man has been charged with:
- Hit and run cause serious harm
- Attempt to pervert the cause of justice
- Provide false statutory declaration
- Other ancillary traffic charges
The 51-year-old woman has been charged with:
- Hit and run cause serious harm (accessory after the fact)
- Attempt to pervert the cause of justice
- Provide false statutory declaration
The man will be remanded in custody and the woman will be released on bail, they both will appear in court on Thursday 12 November.
