Northern Territory Police have located the vehicle they believe was involved in the hit and run of a 24-year-old female in Alice Springs on Wednesday 21 October.

Sergeant Mark Casey from the Major Crash Investigation Unit said the vehicle was located today following a call from a member of the public.

“The vehicle, a red Toyota Hatchback, was seized by Police and is currently undergoing forensic analysis. The owner of the vehicle is assisting Police with inquiries.

“We would like to thank the public for their assistance in this investigation so far, however investigations are ongoing and we continue to call for public assistance to identify the driver.” 

Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident that occurred on Len Kittle Drive or anyone with any information to contact them on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
