Fraud charges - Alice Springs

Detectives from the Southern Investigations Unit have charged a 44-year-old man following the alleged theft of over $300,000 from the company he worked for in Alice Springs.

Detective Senior Sergeant Peter Dash said Police allege the man transferred money from company accounts into his personal bank accounts and credit cards between August 2010 and February 2014. 

“During this time Police also allege the offender used company money to pay for various personal expenses.

“Police arrested the man today and charged him with 101 counts of stealing and 44 counts of false accounting.”

He will appear in Alice Springs Magistrates Court on 4 March.
