Police have arrested a 38-year-old woman in relation to a fatal crash that occurred early this morning near Alpurrurulum.

Superintendent Bob Rennie said a 38-year-old-male was allegedly struck by a vehicle around 3:30 am 15 kilometres outside the township.

“Early indications suggest alcohol may have been a contributing factor, investigations are ongoing.”

The Northern Territory road toll now stands at five compared to six for the same period last year.
