The Northern Territory road toll had risen to 15 following the death of a 41-year-old female pedestrian in Moulden.

Territory Duty Superintendent Helen Braam said the woman was struck by a vehicle on Bonson Terrace at around 11pm yesterday.

"She was taken to Royal Darwin Hospital but passed away this afternoon.

"The 33-year-old male driver remains in Police custody and is assisting with enquiries.”

The road toll for the same time last year stood at 18.
