The Northern Territory road toll now stands at 33 following a fatal accident in Malak.

“At approximately 5:40pm a motorcycle and a car collided at the intersection of McMillans Road and Malak Crescent,” said Duty Superintendent Richard Bryson.

“A 28-year-old man riding a motorcycle was critically injured and the 42-year-old female driver of the car sustained minor injuries. Both were conveyed to Royal Darwin Hospital.

“The motorcycle rider passed away later in hospital.”

Police will now prepare a report for the Coroner.

The road toll for the same time last year was 27.
