The Territory road toll has risen to 28 following the death of a 23-year-old male earlier today.

Duty Superintendent Louise Jorgensen said the male motorcyclist was involved in a collision with a car on McMillans Road, Mararra just before 1:00 o’clock.

“Emergency services attended however tragically the male passed away at the scene.

“Investigations are ongoing to determine the exact cause of the incident and if speed played a factor in the crash.”

The Territory road toll this time last year was 24.
