The Territory road toll has risen to 30 following a motorbike crash in Borroloola yesterday.
Territory Duty Superintendent James O'Brien said a 63-year-old man passed away after being thrown from his motorbike approximately 18 kilometres from Borroloola on the Savannah Way at around 6:00pm.
"Borroloola Police and Borroloola Medical staff attended the crash and rendered immediate medical assistance however the man passed away at the scene.
"It does not appear as though alcohol and speed were factors in the crash. The investigation is ongoing.”
The road toll at the same time last year was 26.
