A 28-year-old male has died after being struck by a vehicle in Alice Springs early this morning.

Acting Senior Sergeant Mark Casey from the Major Crash Investigation Unit said just before 5:00am Police attended to a report that a pedestrian had been struck on Sadadeen Road.

“He was conveyed to Alice Springs Hospital but passed away a short time later.

“A 27-year-old female is currently in custody assisting Police with enquires.”

The exact circumstances surrounding the death are still being investigated.
